Hi Shirley, Your drawings and stories are so beautiful that I fell in love with. I'm a big fan of fairies & butterflies, and planning to have a fairytale wedding with my partner this October. Hello
children - a very happy Christmas to you all and I hope next year will be
full of good times for each of you. 2003 has been a busy one for me. Konrad
and I have worked very hard on a new fairy
game for you. In March we will be doing another new one, based on my
latest book The Mermaid Princess and the Octopus King which is just out
for Christmas. The mermaid game will be out for next Christmas.
At home my two dogs are well, Honey a little bit too tubby
in spite of a diet ad a walk in the bush early each morning. Woofles
is very energetic and doesn't seem to get fat. But both
are in digrace just now as they knocked down a plate and ate 4 chockie biscuits,
some shortbread and some dates while I was outside waving goodbye to a friend
who had been visiting. I was expecting 2 dogs with tummy
aches but they seem none the worse for their Christmas windfall! I
have a beautiful Christmas tree sparkling in my lounge room which my grand
daughters helped me to decorate. Did you decorate a Christmas
tree in your house too? Well, I'll say goodbye till next
time. Have a lovely holiday, safe journeys if you are

Dear Children, ( and those who are, like me, still children at heart), I am writing again to thank you all for your emails from so many different places in the world. You don't know how lovely it is for me to read such nice letters; it makes the hours I spend on my detailed illustrations so very worth while. I keep in mind what I believe you will like when I plan out my paintings as well as what I would have liked when I was young. At the moment I am working on a second "Mermaid Princess" story. I have done 8 pictures so far and have a great deal to do before it is completed. As well, Konrad and I have been working on the Fairy Fan Club and it is now up and running. We have the first edition of a Fairy Newspaper bringing news straight from Fairyland to you. It is the local Fairyland newspaper and comes out each month and is exclusive to the Fairy Fan Club! We also have pretty E-cards to send to your friends and LOTS of games to play as well as Jigsaw puzzles which you can print out when you have done them. Click on Movies and you will find a first art lesson from me and another will follow soon. I will be trying to show you the first steps towards being a Fairy Artist! Click on Photos and you will see where I live, my garden and pets, and very shortly we will be holding the first of many fairy competitions with lovely prizes for the winners. Perhaps Mum and Dad may like to give you a subscription for Birthday and/or Christmas so that you have the on-going interest of the Fairy Fan Club membership as well as your present personally signed by me. I will also be telling you all about the Fairy characters in my books, and little known facts about their daily lives. It is going to be great fun for me too and I am looking forward to seeing the lovely pictures I hope you will send in to display in the Fairy Fan Club Picture Gallery: I will personally comment on each!
