NEW
CAFE OPENS |
We would like to bring to your attention the "Cosy
Corner Cafe" which opened recently on the corner of Moss Rise
and Daisy Lane, Toadstool Town
|
|
The Cafe run by Edwin Elf features a
delightful dessert comprised of a single large strawberry freshly picked from
the gardens which surrounds the residence. It is thinly
sliced to fill the bowl and topped with honeyed nut cream.
Your reporter found it definitely yummy! Also on the
menu are wedges of spiced pumpkin pie and cups of frothy acorn coffee.
We urge anyone who has not yet visited the 'Cosy
Corner Cafe' to hurry on down with their friends to sample these treats.

TIGER
TOM HAS SET OFF AGAIN |
Once again, Tiger Tom has set out on his travels.
Many of our readers will remember Tiger Tom's heroic
search & rescue of his father two years ago. |
|
Mr Moggins was kidnapped
by a gang of criminal gray cats who were terrorizing the kingdom
of Felicior.
Mrs Moggins told your reporter that ever since
that time young Tiger Tom has been restless.
Explaining that he wants to see more of the
world, Tiger Tom says: "I want an adventure or two before I really
settle down." So with a few travel items wrapped
in the traditional adventures spotted handkerchief, he set off
yesterday. |
 |
Only his mother, sisters and baby brother actually saw him off:
Mr Moggins had wished him good luck earlier that morning and returned
to him his lost stripy scarf, that is actually in our Lost & Found section,
thank you goes out to Clement Centipede. He said the scarf got tangled
in his feet, so it was easy to find. Mr. Moggins had to
urgently deliver a basket of fish to the palace kitchen by special request of the king.
Everyone was sad to see the brave young cat
set out on his search for adventure, but he has promised to send
postcards by carrier - robin so our readers will be kept informed
of his travels. Our reporter was informed that
the postcards could be identified by his paw print.
Good luck, Tiger Tom!

THOUGHT
FOR THE WEEK |
Bunny says,
If you drop your bag of carrots, pick them up yourself. If
you ask your rabbit friends to help, you may end up with only
half a bag!

DUCKLING
DAY CARE? |
A big debate is taking place as
to whether there is a need for a Day Care Centre in the forest.
Mrs Daphne Duck, who is frequently driven quite dotty by
her six lively ducklings, is convinced that there is a definite need,
especially for one specialising in ducklings.
"Bright, energetic little ones like mine need
plenty of activities to keep them out of mischief," she told Martha
B. Rabbit, who was interviewing parents at the weekly community
market.
Martha spoke to many mothers who agreed that
even one day a week Day Care would be a great help to them all.
Mrs Melissa Mouse said that with eight mouselings
in her family, she seldom left her hole: she would welcome the
chance to drop them all off at a Day Care Centre for an hour or
two so that she could put her aching feet up and enjoy a quiet
cup of tea. Martha B. Rabbit is looking into
the matter and promises an early report to our readers.
