"The Jewels of Fairyland"
Oh, was I told, or did I dream ~ That if a fairy wants new rings ~ She'll find the gold in any stream ~
But then must spread her lovely wings ~ And to a sandy bay she'll fly, ~ Because she knows that there she'll
find ~ The gems that on the seabed lie, ~ That ebbing waves have left behind. ~ Perhaps she'll find an emerald,
~ Some amethysts or sapphires, and ~
With just one wish they're set in gold ~ To gleam and sparkle
on her hand. ~ But if a ruby she has seen, ~ She
will double starred, rarest of all, ~ She will present
it to the Queen ~ To wear at the next Fairy Ball.
